we picked up gracie from camp last week!!! here she is with her sweet counselor! she had an amazing time and can’t stop relating everything to camp life…
we were driving in the mountains just as the sun was setting and it was just stunning! but even better – thats the best time to spot deer. we saw close to 20 in a matter of 5 minutes!
we spent a few days up in bass lake before heading home. we’ll take any time up there we can get!
i got something fun c/o evy’s tree this week and i haven’t taken it off much! i’ll be sharing more details on wednesday next week… (her shop is re-opening soon!)
silas went to the fair with some friends and competed in mutton bustin’ again, and won! he’s so stoked to have a medal!
i had a busy start to our week with a photo shoot for another post in our “what’s in your bag?” series. i’m so thankful for super creative neighbors: danielle who did my friend molly’s hair and makeup, and cameron who was teaching me how to run a photoshoot.
cameron got this shot of me, of me not being tall enough for the shot i wanted!
more work on pretty petal pushers going into the shop!
its not all work and no play! in fact, this week has been a lot more play than work – yay summer!
we took the kids to the water park on tuesday. it made me really want a waterproof phone so i could get the sweet pics of the kids, like of silas floating on the lazy river with me while the big kids got to go on the big kid rides, linking his feet up with mine and laying back with his eyes closed – so sweet!
this picture was taken by a nearby friend. it started with me snuggling my cold body up against warm dry sean (so mean of me!), then the girls jumped in. silas was still enjoying floating on his raft by our feet.
we also went to the beach with friends and cousins. i love that the kids are at an age that i can relax and chat while the kids play and run and entirely exhaust themselves!
i love surprising the kids! we did it when we went the the water park – we told the kids we were going to a friend’s pool – hehe!
this night i told the kids we were going to dinner, but we were actually going to the fair and a concert!
we went to the jeremy camp concert and those anklets (supposed to be bracelets) were our front row passes!
gracie was so fun to watch during the concert, singing along with every song! the other two… well, i’m thinking surprising them was maybe not the best idea. none of them had ever been to a concert and i didn’t prep them at all with details of what it would be like or what was expected of them. silas was a little too wild, then layed himself out on the ground, and lily was basically in shock until the last couple of songs.
aaand back to work. this was my morning desk – so pretty! not so much by the afternoon. that big pile is soon-to-be-listed bloom pins!
we’ve been doing tons of playdates lately. today we had the big girls at our house. their playdates have changed from dressing up like princesses to creating funky outfits and choreographing dances. i so remember doing that as a kid!
not sure if you caught it, but i screwed up. i guess thats what happens when i’m working past midnight! i posted about a great sale we’re having and gave out the wrong code – oops! unfortunately, we didn’t catch it until late in the day so lots of you missed out on taking advantage of the discount – shoot! so i fixed the code and have extended the sale until midnight friday – yay!
ok party people, have a good weekend!
