i’m linking up my weekly phone pics with jeannett again!  i’m thepleatedpoppy on instagram if you want to follow along!

yay!: i sold out of my halloween bunting

boo!: i accidentally sold them at a huge discount.  oops.  my plate is a little too full.

so many of you were hoping i’d carry orange petal pushers so you could show your team spirit.  well, after searching for the perfect orange, orange petal pushers are now in the shop!

long days and long nights.   each night i am laying out the plans for the next day’s work at the thrift store.  i’m still loving it.  sean and i have remodeled a few homes back in the day and i really miss it!

{for those of you new here – i’m helping our school renovate a thrift store we just took over, with a 2 week deadline!}

i am seeing little glimpses of His Glory in my long days.  up with the sun at home depot and watching the sunrise.  perfect timing with a much needed volunteer.  generous offers to pick up a sandwich.  friends loving on my kids day after day.  a meal brought just in time.

another fun thing to see:  things coming together at the thrift store.  we’ve been clearing out and undoing so much, so seeing some progress is so rewarding!  just getting some chalkboard paint on the wall was enough to re-energize me!

my sweet husband has not only been a rockstar during the renovations, but melts me with all the extras, like homemade sushi.

 a LOT of homemade sushi!

we found this old workbench buried in our back shed.  a little elbow grease to remove all the actual grease, and some lacquer to gloss up the top did the trick!  this gem is sitting behind the checkout counter, under out chalkboard (which just needs a frame).

a fresh coat of white paint makes all the difference!

and a fresh coat of mustard paint makes a HUGE statement!  hello sunshine ceilings!

we’re covering our walls with pallet wood.  we’ve had a small crew dismantling about 100 pallets around the clock!

and we’ve been staining that wood around the clock, too!

we have 2 sets of windows that were painted over years ago (WHY?!), so we have a volunteer painstakingly scraping all that paint off to let the light in!

my daily wear has been nothing less than embarrassing.  all grubbies all the time.  cut offs, stained clothes, ill-fitting everything.  and as soon as i get home, its straight into jambes.  my poor husband!

i’ve got one more week until our hopeful grand reopening – you can also follow @fredandbettys on instagram!

have a great weekend!

If these are your grubbies, hey good looking, I always say when you are good looking, clothes is not as important, you are proof!!!! (big smile here) and you look happy and you seem to enjoy the progress and the route to get there.

I can identify with you and cannot wait to see the final results.
