this is what my floor looks like come 1 am. and then i go to sleep and it still looks like that at 7 am. where are the cleaning fairies i ordered?
we took the kids to sea world last weekend. it was awesome! it felt like we had the place to ourselves and the weather was perfect. the kids are at such fun ages and we don’t have to worry about losing any of them when there’s no crowds – so nice and relaxing!
i have to work hard to not place my fear of sharks on my kids. somehow, this shark tank wasn’t as scary as i had remembered it!
this guy has to wait to grow about 2 more inches before he can go on all the big rides with his sisters, but he actually takes that disappointment pretty well. when the girls are on a big ride, either sean or i take him and get special one-on-one time. he was cracking me up using the map like he could actually get us somewhere!
our special bonus to our time alone was we got lost (he had the map, remember?), and found ourselves tucked away in a corner where we happened up… shamu!! she was sleeping right at the edge of her pool just a few feet away from us – it was awesome! every few breaths she’d let out a big spray that was fun to watch.
this was the before picture. before silas and i got soaked. like a wave of water dumping on us. good thing it was our last ride before heading out!
we stayed in a hotel after sea world as a fun surprise (thanks to snagging a great deal online!). we went night swimming with the kids then we were all wiped out and got in bed. the girls were bing so sweet and snuggly, just in time for me to snag this pic. then reality set in and complaints started and the moment was lost ;)
surprise for me: the queen bee market was last weekend and i haven’t been in a couple years! i’ve missed it and my friends there so much so it was really fun to go! the family joined me for part of the time and we stopped by the zoe clothing company booth. they gave all of us goodies! how cute are my boys in their matching hoodies?
the next day we went to newport for the day, spending most of our time on balboa. and if you’re on balboa, you have to get a balboa bar or a frozen banana. i’m pretty sure its a law.
over the years i’ve gotten worse about sitting idle. i have to have something to do with my hands! i brought tons of fabric to make scrappy bunting on my trip and got it all cut up just in the trip home.
we planted 4 butterfly bushes in our front yard and they really do attract butterflies! once the day warms up a bit, you can’t walk through our yard with out seeing 20-30 butterflies!
this week sean and i celebrated our first dating anniversary – 17 years – wow!
i’ve been working on these teeny tiny covered buttons for a new product – yay! it should be in the shop sometime this weekend!
also new to the shop is this gold rush wet bag with metallic gold oil cloth base and interior – i love it!
i also added lots of new products to the shop and restocked favorites!
we have a big grand opening party for fred & betty’s tonight and a very busy weekend. see you soon!
