i’m linking up my weekly phone pics with jeannett again!  i’m thepleatedpoppy on instagram if you want to follow along!

i found these adorable vintage glittered reindeer last week at fred & betty’s!

at the end of each trimester at our school, we have a “history day”.  this year we are studying the ancients so we had a “night at the museum” where the kids all dressed in egyptian costumes and visited different rooms of the “museum”.

gracie wanted to be an egyptian cat.  at first i started to talk her out of it until i realized that a cat costume was going to be super easy to make!  she loved getting to wear so much makeup!

lily was cleopatra, and she even had fun drawing on her baby to make it look egyptian, too.  my mom made the snake headband over 30 years ago!

i love it when i catch them snuggling!  thats one of the things i love about instagram.  many think it only shows the beautiful side of people’s lives and not the reality, but when i look back on raising my kids, i want to remember these moments, the beautiful ones.

late nights.  glue gun.  the good wife.  mini petal pushers.

i added these cute tiny heart scarves to the shop!  they sold out, but more are coming…

the stitch market is less than a week away!  my parents were visiting for a few days so they helped me make new backdrops with some wood we got from friends.

we volunteer at least once a week at fred & betty’s.  this week we were pulling down christmas decorations from the attic and down comes silas carrying this HUGE santa!  this thing was in perfect condition… but it already sold.

sean has been gone since last thursday, and we met him at his parents’ house on saturday.  it is supposed to be a 4 hours drive, but it took us 7 hours!!!  and yes, i took this pic while driving, but i was stopped.  like most of the trip.  we don’t always travel with a dvd player, but i am so thankful that we did this time!  the kids didn’t complain at all!

speaking of being thankful:  this guy makes my days brighter, my life fuller, and my heart happy.  he’s my favorite.

i hope you all had a very happy thanksgiving!
