this feels so good.  so very good.  and there’s not even a huge pile outside the camera view!  this space is actually clean!  behind those polka dot curtains needs quite a bit of organizing, but i think i’ve finished clearing out at least.  and i still have a lot of fabric left – wow!  i thought i sold a lot with my supplies, but am glad i held on to this stash.  i’m excited to have some time to create something all new.

remember this sweet red cross i spotted at ruby rose?  well, i had to go back and get it the next day!  i’ll show you its new home soon!

this is becoming a regular sight around here.  our weather has been back and forth, but when its warm we’re taking advantage of it.  even if its raining, sean and gracie have been going surfing together every sunday for a bit now, so these towels are getting some use.

we went to a last minute fundraiser with my parents last week, and we had no idea what the dress code was.  while i definitely lean towards dressing up than dressing down in this situation, i wore those wedges while i was getting ready and after 15 minutes i knew i didn’t want to wear them all night.  i’m such a wimp!  i ended up wearing the outfit on the right, and i was dressed just fine – it turned out to be a pretty casual event.  in pictures, though, i like the middle outfit better.

we went to a birthday party at the beach on sunday and silas decided to “surf” on his boogie board for a bit.  that boy cracks me up!

now that i have a little extra time, i’ve been spending a lot more time at fred & betty’s.

once again, gracie amazes me.  she wasn’t super happy with this drawing once she finished it, but the in-progress work was so pretty!

this is what my tuesday, thursday and friday mornings look like.  me with my coffee while the kids are finishing their chores, and i’m organizing our school work for the day.

i was out late working on shipping this week with my mom, and my dad took the kids for the night.  it was so nice to be able to watch my baby sleep for a few minutes.

just playing with the rhonna designs app for a few ;)

i was finishing up my morning email check while lily made breakfast for us, grace emptied the dishwasher and silas made his bed.  when kids do their chores without complaining, that makes for a good start to a day!  its rare, but i’ll take it!

thats one thing i really love about instagram.  it allows me to focus on the good, the few-and-far-between moments, the times that i easily forget as soon as real life creeps in.  its like ann voskamp’s 1000 gifts.  these are the gifts.   these are the treasures to hold on to, the memories to give thanks for.

I just wanted to thank you. I received my package today and it was so fun to open. I snagged a bag of scraps, some poppy pins and the sash. I am going to wear the sash as a belt and tie it with a large bow at the waist. It will be PERFECT with my wrap sweater. I immediately put three pins on my sweatshirt. I love them so much. I usually don’t wear jewelry or accessories but these are so very sweet. And the scraps…I haven’t the slightest idea! Ha. But I adore all the prints and colors. I may just set them in a bowl and look at them for awhile :)

Thank you again. Everything was truly lovely. I love reading your blog and watching your kids grow into such wonderful people. I originally found you through The Chatty Mommy

I so knew that you would pick that outfit!! Funny story…My husband saw my comment on Facebook about which one you would pick. He said “Do you know this woman? How would you know what she would wear? I said silly man…I don’t KNOW her but have been following her post for a very long time now and I know her style and that is the outfit she will pick! I am 100% sure of it! Needless to say..I was right :) Love your style and you always look great!!
Thanks for giving me motivation to try a little harder and get out of my comfort zone!!
