christmas house tour

welcome to my home!  i’m going to take you on a little tour of my house – more pictures than words – enjoy!

our entry way holds our piano and our fist nativity scene.  i completely cleared off our wall and started fresh, minus the nails and holes!  a wreath wrapped in a feather boa has been a christmas decor staple since we first got married.  hung by a simple striped ribbon on a gold frame – easy!

we usually have the tree by our from windows, but we decided to put it in the center of the room this year.   the change has been fun!

i bought several of these fur stockings from kmart years ago before we even had kids!

i love keeping the christmas cards we get each year!  our kids go through them every day, seeing how our friends and family have changed over the years.  i am still in shock that people send us cards because we haven’t sent one out since our oldest was 2!

Aside from all the beautiful photographs, I need to know… is your flooring real wood!? We are in the market for some new floors and I want it to look just that that!

hi lauren! the flooring is real engineered wood – meaning its a layer of real wood over a high grade plywood. so it could be sanded down and restrained if needed. we bought them so long ago that i don;t know the manufacturer, but they are hand scraped, maple wood with a walnut stain.
