what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

some sundays i like to get a little extra dressy for church because i really have no other reason to dress up, and some sundays i just do a minor upgrade.  but this outfit felt dressy to me, but was so casual feeling – crazy comfortable!  jeans and a t-shirt get a boost with easy wedges and a little rhinestones – so simple.

casual, comfy, classic… with just a little edge.  that is what i love most!  i love this old sweater from old navy but its cut is a little tricky to style.  because its cropped, i paired it with a loose fitting, longer t-shirt and skinny jeans to balance the proportions.  a mostly neutral outfit with a little splash of color in the accessories.

this cardigan is kind of like a socially acceptable robe.  i want to wear it all the time.  actually, i do wear it pretty often, a lot like a robe!

I love that rhinestone necklace. It really adds to that outfit. And I feel the same way about the cardigan being a socially acceptable robe. I love wearing them but I snorted when I read that.

Are you able to give the actual brand of the sweater from stitch fix?

That’s a cute pocket tee. And I love that cascading cardigan. It looks great with the striped tee. ~Cynthia

I am so excited for the spring fashions and pops of color,
I am excited for the fun accessories and recently made a DIY to recreate your own Burberry inspired scarf. Such an easy way to ease spring into a winter’s wardrobe!
