what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

what i wore at the pleated poppy

this could easily be my daily uniform.  simple basic classics that when put together make the always-works outfit: stripes+field jacket+denim+boots.

shirt – forever 21 //  jacket – stitch fix //  jeans – forever 21 //  boots – zappos

but then again, jeans and a white tee are also a classic choice!  while this heavy-weight sweater will not get steady use as the weather continues to warm up, it will be brought out for camping and beach nights & bonfires.

shirt – woodbury lane //  jeans – target //  sweater – forever 21 //  converse //  necklace – lisa leonard designs

outfit for good friday service at church.

shirt – woodbury lane //  cardigan – stitch fix //  cropped pants – target //  flats – target //  earrings – nickel & suede //  necklace – world market

easter morning!  i bought this dress for my nieces wedding and added pockets – best idea ever.  now i want to add pockets to all the things!  while this dress is a touch shorter than i’d normally wear, adding opaque black tights helps to keep it a bit more conservative looking.

dress – forever 21 {similar} //  sweater – target //  tights – target //  wedges – payless

necklace – forever 21 //  earrings – ike & co

I love pockets on skirts and dresses.
When I try a new piece I’m looking for those immediately, specially if the skirt is pleated or similar.
