what i wore

hello friends, old & new!  if you are new here, i’m lindsey: wife for 15 years, mom to 3, and blogging here for over 8 years now.  so what is this “what i wore” thing anyway?  several years ago, i was deep in the trenches of motherhood – toddlers, babies, running a business, nursing, sleepless nights… taking care of everyone else.  everyone, except myself.  i hardly ever got dressed, and when i did, it was generally in sweats (this was before the days of yoga pants).  i decided to challenge myself.  i would take a picture of myself every day, whether i was dressed decently or not and post those pics here on my blog.  a form of self-accountability if you will.  and guess what?  it worked!  i started to take just a few minutes every day to put on real clothes.  i felt better about myself, and that lead to me being happier and more productive.  soon after i started posting my pics, others joined in and i started a place (WIWW) for those ladies to link up their posts with me!  over the years, i have trained myself.  i still stay in pjs or lounge wear once in awhile, but most days i am dressed, put a few minutes into my hair and face, and am slowly figuring out what style suits me best, what works and doesn’t, and i’m having a lot of fun with it!  if you are feeling in a rut, or just love fashion, i’d love for you to join me!

I love how you’re pretending it’s cool enough to wear Autumn attire, we don’t have that problem over here in the UK!! Thanks for hosting x

I have been linking forever but I am not sure I ever took the time to discover the how/why you started , thanks for sharing.

Cute as always! I’m curious how tall you are. I’ve love the look of the Grace & Lace Tank Extender but think it may still be too short for me. Cute as always!

great question. i’m 5’6″ and i’m wearing a small. the larger sizes are a bit longer.

Thanks for the reply! I’m considering getting the dress extender for the purpose of wearing it with tops. I’m 5′ 10″ and want it to cover my tush. (And I don’t always repeat myself but when I do, apparently, I type “Cute as always!” twice without realizing it. Ha!

LOVE your “pretending it’s fall” outfit. Two questions: the link to the boots is incorrect, it directs to the AC&F tank. Any chance you can update? I would love to get a pair. Also what color is the lace tank extender?

Many Thanks! I heart your style!!!
