what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

did you know old navy sells “tall” items?  i find it really hard to find dresses that are long enough, and i love this dress so much i bought it in 2 colors!

dress – old navy //  tights – target //  boots – steve madden //  leather tassel necklaces – made by me //  earrings – nickel & suede

sweater – forever 21 //  chambray shirt – forever 21 //  black jeans – forever 21 //  boots – steve madden //  earrings – nickel & suede //  glasses  – david kind IMG_6241 (1)

cardigan – forever 21 {similar} //  v-neck tee shirt  – forever 21 //  jeans – target {similar} //  converse – nordstrom //  necklace – lisa leonard designs

i don’t love how peplum tops fit me, but this one is great – i think because of the looser fit.

shirt – woodbury lane //  jeans – forever 21 //  ankle boots – charlotte russe

All these looks are so functional and put-together, and I love that I’m getting this not trying too hard vibe. That’s hard to pull off! Love that last look especially!

I admire your sense of style which I find to be both modern and ageless. On top of it all, there is a practicality to the clothes you wear that should be a standard for many to follow.

Great outfits this week! My favorites were the first and the last ones. In the first one, your tights were so cute. And in the last one, I loved those shoes!

    Have a wonderful holiday season!

I love all your looks, you are so beautiful and stylish! I knew that Old Navy sells talls, but only online, as far as I’ve found, right? I get so excited finding a pair of jeans or pants that are long enough for myself, but usually have to order them or go to the Gap’s sale racks!
I’m surprised that you found all those pants you wore above, at Forever 21, etc. and that they were long enough for you, and even cuffed a pair! You look especially fab in that black peplum top! I get bored with seeing people in all black everyday of the week, but sometimes, hey, it just looks great!
I love your looks, as I said, because they are stylish and comfy, and don’t go into “woo-woo, look me, I’m wearing polka dots, stripes and plaids all at once!” territory. LOL~ Seriously, i love to see people wear colorful, unique outfits, but it’s just not me, at least not everyday!
