i pulled down the valentine’s decorates and needed to put something in its place.
silas is super excited for “clover day” as he calls it, although he is clearly clueless about st. patrick’s day!
i just pulled some green goodies out of my cupboards and off my shelves and put this display together in about 10 minutes. it felt too easy!
i was going for subtle decorations, nothing that screamed shamrocks too strongly (although the kids and i are working on a shamrock project right now!).
i love the mix of all the shades of green and a little milk glass to balance it out!
pulling out collected books, thrifted and otherwise, was fun to see the colors together!
i made these paper balls years ago to welcome a new pastor’s wife to our church. i used a great tutorial from heather bailey’s site. these balls have been used so many times – on dowels as topiaries, and just propped on a shelf.
i also added a small white urn with moss tucked inside.
i threw in some orchids we’ve had on our window sill and put them in green pots, one terra cotta and one tin.
so how about you? do you decorate for st. patty’s day, skip it all together, or go subtle?
