what i wore wednesday {guest blogger – gussy}

happy wednesday, everyone!

this week my friend gussy hijacked my blog for what i wore wednesday.  ok, really i begged her to do it for me, and she was sweet enough to say yes.  thank you gusgus!

Hi friends, it’s Gussy of Gussy Sews, and today I’m sharing my WIWW posts with all of you ♥

I’ve finally broken away from my mindset that “I have nothing to wear”! And it makes me happy, because not only do I feel like I have more outfits to wear but I feel like I have CUTE things that I forgot about. And “cute” can mean whatever you want it to. Anything that makes me feel good about myself makes me feel cute :]

My husband & I live in Minneapolis, and while it’s normally not warm enough
in the winter to wear a dress with leggings, I did last week.

Blue dress, TJ Maxx — white t-shirt, gray leggings, heart mug, Target — petal drop necklace, Pleated Poppy

I L O V E the ruffled details on this dress! And the scallops. And shade of blue.

Below is one of my favorite shirts…
I love the b&w plaid paired with the ruffle down the front ~
it’s so comfy and perfect for a day of sewing.

plaid shirt, Gap — white tank, Target — skinny jeans, Target — button bracelet, Lisa Leonard — pink nail polish, OPI {a favorite!}

When I wear this top I feel like a farm girl.
Except that I live in the city

One thing I want to add back into my wardrobe is lots of color,
and lots of colors that aren’t 100% matchy matchy.
I’m always envious of the girls that wear such a funky color palette.
So, I think it’s time to get over that envy and just DO IT for myself, right? :]

This outfit was for a full day of work: interviewing, email answering, sewing.

purple cardigan, yellow/gray striped tank & skinny jeans, Target — turquoise & green necklace, Old Navy

My mother-in-law gave me this necklace for Christmas a couple of years ago.
The different sized beads makes it so fun!

Wishing you a happy week!

what i wore wednesday {guest blogger – allora handmade}

hey friends!  i’m away at blissdom this week and decided to hand over the wiww reins to my girl, jess!  i’ve gotten (is that even a word?) to know jess through the queen bee market, the creative connection, lots of emails and twitterpating ;)  be sure to swing by her blog to say hello, and put on a bib and visit her shop – drooling guaranteed!

deep breaths.
deep breaths.
I am soooo new to WIWW, and it almost gave me a panic attack this week.
ok, let me start over.
Hi! I’m Jessica from Allora Handmade! Nice to meet you!
I am so *excited* to be here on sweet Lindsey’s blog and so *excited* to show you what happens when I actually decide to shower, get dressed, AND put make up on a few days in a row. (it’s rare, my friends. hate to admit it. but i just did.)
I know, I need WIWW in the worst way. Here’s hoping I can keep it up. All of these outfits are for the same thing (groundhog day, anyone?): working from home, playing with kids, a few errands, and basic hibernation from the winter outside my front door.
Ok, enough on the introductions. Let’s do this.

modern pearl necklace in chocolate
don’t buy me flowers bracelet in turquoise
mini modern pearl in plum
rosie earrings in mustard
modern pearl necklace in blush
phew. that wasn’t too painful, was it?
thanks Lindsey for sharing your space with me today!
thank you jess – you rock!
now for the rest of you, link up your crazy selves below!
