what i wore wednesday

happy wednesday!

thanks for joining me again for another week of wiww, where we keep each other accountable  to getting dressed every day and putting a smidge of effort beyond the yoga pants!

it has been chiiilly!  like 60*! (yes i’m a wimp)

sweater – all saints (gift)

top – hand me down

jeans & boots  - target

ruffled scarf & petal pusher – the pleated poppy

my jacket refashion.  if i had a waist it would look a lot cuter!

top, cardi, trousers – target

black wedges – payless

after church we went over to the high school down the street and borrowed their tennis courts.  sean and i haven’t played in probably 15 years – our rackets were  old and the balls were flat, but we had so much fun!  the kids just rode their bikes, skates and skateboards around the court and collected balls for us.  it was kind of like a date with the kids!

posy pin – the pleated poppy

infinity scarf – the pleated poppy

jeans – oooold

converse – nordstrom rack

what i wore wednesday

welcome to wiww!  if you’re new here, i post weekly pictures of my outfits for motivation to get out of my sweats and put a little effort into myself.  i just found this great post from a long time weekly wiww participant that puts why we do what we do in better words than i ever could.

i only have a few pictures to share, some from india, one from home.  to be honest, i haven’t been feeling great since we got home last friday night and i’ve only gotten dressed once since then!

my outfits were pretty basic and super conservative while we were in india.  i either wore ankle length skirts or long yoga pants everyday with a shirt or sweater that went past my buns and a scarf.  i wore either these black flats or my converse every day.  the flats are now in the trash.

a young friend of mine went to india with our church last year and bought a couple traditional punjabi tops that she let me borrow.  i just wore a long sleeve shirt under them.

our chilliest day was in agra at the taj majal – i really could’ve used another layer of clothing!  the scarves ended up being an essential item of clothing each day.  i forgot it one day and totally regretted it.  not only does every woman wear one, but they were great for covering up necklines and keeping a little extra warm, not to mention a great filter for dusty and smelly areas.  going into a bathroom without a scarf to breathe into was unthinkable!

the one day i got dressed at home was to drop off the kids at shcool, run errands and go to bible study at night.

sweater – old navy

scarf – forever 21

shirt & boots – target

leggings (2 pairs – i was cold) – walmart

i added a few new goodies to the shop yesterday and wanted to share!

tiny pouches, ruffled scarves, checkbook covers, posy pins, zippered pouches and covered notebooks.

my favey-fave addition is the sparkling champagne ruffled scarf – it has the softest silver sparkle to the pretty creamy fabric!
