boy’s industrial bath {sources}

boys' bathroom collage

a couple days ago i shared my inspiration board for a client’s boys’ bathroom.  but many of you asked for sources, so here you go!

we love the idea of a wood floor, but for a kids’ bath, going vinyl is a bit safer.  {source}

nothing says industrial like metal and wood!  after covering our retaining walls in our backyard with corrugated metal, i’m pretty smitten with it. {source}

framing a huge builder-grade mirror with pallet wood is a great, inexpensive fix. {source}

i love the idea of outdoor lighting used inside! {source}

along with the industrial feeling, we want some clean modern lines as well, and this vanity give that.  plus, its loaded with storage! {source}

there are lots of great options for fixtures at home depot.  this one’s a classic. {source}

a little bit of vintage (or vintage look) is mixed into everything i do.  this first aid sign is so perfect for a bathroom! {source}

yes, using pipes in unique ways is all the rage right now, but it just makes sense in a boys’ bathroom. {source}

i have found towel racks + kids = towels on the floor.  hooks are way easier! {source}

i love this shower curtain to add a bit of color, but this one is sold out – boo.  but i found a similar one! {source}

but then… i found this curtain and i might even love it more! {source}

what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

some sundays i like to get a little extra dressy for church because i really have no other reason to dress up, and some sundays i just do a minor upgrade.  but this outfit felt dressy to me, but was so casual feeling – crazy comfortable!  jeans and a t-shirt get a boost with easy wedges and a little rhinestones – so simple.

casual, comfy, classic… with just a little edge.  that is what i love most!  i love this old sweater from old navy but its cut is a little tricky to style.  because its cropped, i paired it with a loose fitting, longer t-shirt and skinny jeans to balance the proportions.  a mostly neutral outfit with a little splash of color in the accessories.

this cardigan is kind of like a socially acceptable robe.  i want to wear it all the time.  actually, i do wear it pretty often, a lot like a robe!
