what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

i was out of town on my parents’ boat most of last week, the dropped the girls off at camp (more on that later), so wasn’t able to get any pictures this week – oops! but i do have one fashion goody to share!  when i was on the boat i mostly just wore a swimsuit  – this one to be exact.

now… i don;t look anything like this in the suit!  but i do feel great in it.  it is super form fitting and sucks in my problem areas and its overall very flattering!  it also comes in black but i kind of loved the retro feel of this suit and thought the navy was a fun color.  it is definitely more expensive than what i’d normally spend on a suit, but i am so impressed with the quality and fit that i’d spend it again!

anthropolgie has a few floral options that are a.dorable.  and 2 of them on are sale!  i am seriously considering one of them!

As a former swim suit fitter I am very familiar with the Seafolly brand and they have great suits. The suit that you picked is perfect for A-C cups. But I would put you in a bikini, as the “short” bottom does nothing for elongating the leg visually. Miss your outfit photos though!

Love that suit…and the navy!! Anthropologie has great suits. They had a super cute suit all the way back in like February that I wish I just took the plunge and bought!!

It’s sort of crazy how the less material there is on a bathing suit the more expensive it is! But the more expensive ones are better fitting…I just bought a bunch of suits this summer, it’s been years since the last time. I justified it as I am actually going to use our pool this year so I need some new swim wear.

love the suit. I like the boy short bottom on it as I like something a bit modest but not too old fashioned. really cute.

The swimsuit is fab – I have difficulty getting one to fit me properly because I have a long torso but this one looks a really nice fit!
