what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

i just got this free people sweater in my latest stitch fix box, and i love it!  i have been using stitch fix for quite awhile now, so i find myself becoming more and more picky.  but this sweater?  its perfect.

i tend to overwear new items.  as in i wear it every day for several days after getting something new.  this is what i wore for the Good Friday service at our church.

sweater – stitch fix //  tank – target  //  cropped pants – target {no longer available, but similar} //  wedges – american eagle {similar} //  necklace – world market {similar} //  purse – stitch fix

and then 2 days later, i wore it again for Easter!

sweater – stitch fix //  dress – target //  tights – target //  boots – zappos //  necklaces – made by me

after church we went out to lunch with our nephew and his girl friend at the breezy beach, so of course i wore the sweater again.

sweater – stitch fix //  dress – target {similar} //  jeans – forever 21 //  sandals – target //  necklaces – made by me

You are pretty and have a nice figure but you seem to gravitate toward large oversize baggy clothes. All your clothes look the same just different colors. Except for your constant supply of tight jeans, everything else is several sizes too big and kind of just hangs.

hmm, this kind of seems like a backhanded compliment, so i’m not exactly sure how to respond. i do wear looser items on the top half of my body for a couple reasons – tight tops emphasize both my small chest and round belly, two things i like to keep covered. so looser tops make me feel better about myself.
