what i wore

welcome to “what i wore” at the pleated poppy!  share with me your fashion posts and we can inspire each other!  i started this originally as motivation to get out of my daily uniform of jammies or sweats, but now i am encouraged and held accountable to put a few extra minutes aside for myself and try new things.  i’d love for you to join me!

what i wore at the pleated poppy

sunday – church and lunch out with the family

dress – urban outfitters // shirt – old navy {similar} // shoes – old navy (i just got these on sale for $7! no longer online.) // earrings – nickel & suede

i love this dress, but it is super sheer, so a slip is a must.  also, i wore these shoes for the first time for several hours and they were really comfy!

first day of school for the kids = my first day home alone

my kids go to school 2 days a week and are home the rest.  i love my kids, but i treasure those 2 very short days a week!

shirt – from our school store // jeans – forever 21 {similar} // converse – nordstrom // earrings – nickel & suede

our school has a theme each year to help spur us on, and this year it is “dare greatly”, pulled from this quote from theodore rooseveldt:

I love that dress and the graphic tank is fabulous! That Theodore Roosevelt quote is one of my favorites of all time ever since I was about 12 years old!
