what i wore

Welcome to “what i wore”!  I have been doing this post weekly for what feels like a hundred years.  I originally started these posts to motivate myself to get out of my sweats and into some regular clothes.  As a stay-at-home, work-at-home mom, I have always found it to be a struggle to put fashion before comfort – I’d rather stay cozy and lounge in grubby clothes all day – are you with me?!  But really, I don’t actually feel better.  I feel unmotivated and lazy, and my clothing encouraged that.  Over the years, I have found things that I feel good in and that feel good to be in – I have not sacrificed comfort for style, but found a way to marry them.  I have also had a lot of fails over the years, and have really started to hone what my style really is, while still giving myself freedom to have fun and try new things.

Yes, this cardigan again.  It gets a lot of wear around here.  And I have been wearing these jeans a lot lately, too!  Last week the weather was really cool (for this part of  California), so I was wearing fleece lined leggings under my jeans when I had to go out at night.  And this week, its in the *80’s all week – what in the world?

I bought these shoes several months ago, but they were too narrow (I had the sk8-hi slim first).  So Gracie got a new pair of shoes!  Then last week I finally bought the normal version of these.  I love them, but I think I got a half size too big – oops!  oh well, I’m keeping them this time.

I wore this for church on Sunday – chilly when we walked in to church, then blazing hot when we got out!  I got this shirt awhile back from gray monroe – they always have a few fun goodies!  And these clogs are just the best.  I got them from Old Navy last spring, after I missed out on them the previous spring.  I’m hoping Old Navy is listening and brings them back again!

When I picked up my new Vans, I snagged this shirt for about $10.  I’m not in love with the big Vans lettering, but I love the cut and the vintage look.

Hi Lindsey! Do you mind sharing which size of the Nickel and Suede earrings you wear? I’ve been admiring their styles for a while, but am debating between a small and a medium. It always helps to be able to see them on a real person, but it’s hard to tell what size they are in the pics. Thanks!

The navy sweater is simple but i like the fit and style. Mental note to self to look for one :)
