christmas gift guide: for the guys

mens gift guide

these gift guides are so fun for me to create!  i basically get to window shop for the things that i think my husband would love (but all at reasonable prices).

mens gift guide

yes, my husband would love another road bike, or wet suit, or… other really expensive things.  but in our reality, these gifts i’m sharing with you are much more of what he may actually find under the tree.

1 – a friend gave us one of these mr. 7 hands multi-tool kits a few years ago and we love it!  we leave it in the junk drawer so we don’t have to have a bunch of tools lying around – super handy.  2 – my husband looses sunglasses like crazy, so we never buy expensive pairs.  also, we tend to buy a few at a time since, well, he looses them a lot!  and at about 5 bucks a pop, these wood grain wayfarers are perfect.  3 – 2 things (of many) my husband looks good in:  kelly green & trucker hats.  4 – my husband loves discovering new beers, and makes his own home brews.  this beer journal could be great to record new flavors he wants to try!  5 – some ties can be so stuffy, but this chambray one is awesome!  6 – fun socks = fun guy.  7 – kelly green.  ‘nuf said.  8 –  a fun campy enamel mug is a manly way to start off your day.  9 – a man bag is a necessity, but they tend to look so lame!  this inexpensive version is all manly.  10 – sean loves his wood phone case.  11 – buffalo check is trending right now, but its a classic that will stick around for years more.  12 – this magnetic wristband is like the extra hand he needs to complete his honey-do-list ;)

our new nativity scene

even though i may still not be entirely decorated for christmas yet this year, the nativity scene is always the first item we set out.

my friend lisa sent our family this beautiful nativity scene she designed!  the pewter figures are perfectly nestled in a handmade stable made of wine barrel oak.

i have the scene set up on our coffee table because my kids love to play with it, coming up with new layouts for the scene!

we did a little photo shoot for lisa and i got the sweetest pictures of my kids from it!

this scene really is so sweet and i love that my kids can play with it without fear of them breaking it!

go here to get your own nativity scene.  adorable kids not included with purchase ;)
